Starting pitcher Tyler Ivey pitched five innings for the Space Cowboys and allowed four earned runs on nine hits and ended with five strikeouts.
With the bases loaded in the first inning, the Aces struck first with a grand slam by first baseman Trey Mancini.
The Space Cowboys rallied for two runs in the first, third and sixth innings to win the game.
Despite being out-hit 12-10, Sugar Land overcame an early 4-0 deficit to defeat the Reno Aces in game one of a five-game homestand.
