Knockout round, Knockout sound, Knockout town. On to the round of 16! It wouldn't be an American story if it didn't include a little controversy. It wouldn't be an American story without a little adversity. It definitely wouldn't be an American story without a little triumph. We are three for three with a little underdog sprinkled in just for good measure headed into this match with Belgium. 

Have no fear! Next man up is how we ride. PePe will step in, in the absence of Balogun presumably. We march onward to the task at hand, Belgium. The Red Card won't save the WorldCup from the wrath of the U.S. Team. That has to be the team mindset. Embrace the challenge just like they embraced  playing with ten men to close their previous victory. This is the time to chase destiny.

This has put the underdog chip right back on the shoulder of the team. Part of the Magic of this run is the fact that no one expected anything of this team. They have provided hope, pride, and joy in being an American. All which have been short on supply lately, but have been full throttle during this tournament. A PR firm couldn't have designed a better campaign to pitch soccer to Americans.

After this tournament there will be no need for a pitch to the American people about soccer. Another component that has taken center stage at this WorldCup is the skill level of the American team. This is not your pawpaw national team. The U.S. has shown they belong on this level. They have left the fans wanting more and unable to place limitations.  Pochettino has merged the strategy and tatics to the athletic ability of the U.S. team. This match has produced the aura of endless possibilities. We shall see. America Onward!
