The 2nd Act

With it being Star Wars night. The second act of leadership shuffle beginning is appropriate.
While we know James Harden will be sticking around. This was Davy Arnauds chance to prove
he deserves a shot too.

It started with what is becoming the typical early goal given by a poor defensive effort on the
back end in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, that theme would repeat itself shortly before the first
half ended. Send the game to halftime with the Orangemen down 2-0. Greg Morton came on to
provide the much needed force to make this game competitive.

Early on in the second half it appeared to have made a difference. The Orangemen pushed
forward early and often. With several max pressure plays by Alberth Elis. Corner kick after
corner kick. The Orange Machine created their opportunities. The conversion rate was the issue
last night. Finally in the 73rd minute Manotas cracked the code off a pass from Lundkvist. Then
again in the 78th minute off a beautiful setup by Tommy McNamara. Those 2 quick goals tied the game with 12minutes to play plus extra time.

Unfortunately the conversion rate would be an issue again as the Orangemen were unable to
score on the opportunities they would generate down the stretch. They definitely gave the
fans their money's worth. Who were loud and engaged until the last tick on the clock. The 2nd
act of leadership shuffle left you believing and wanting more. Which is a victory within these
circumstances. Now it's on to FC Dallas to amplify the viability of this 2nd act.
