Texans Lose BIG in Dallas

The battle of I45 is ALWAYS a game to watch here in Texas. Dallas vs Houston stems deep from the Oiler days. So regardless if it's Pre-Season or Regular Season, Texans versus Cowboys will always require a Texas native to pick a side. Ain't no flip-floppin either. You either Red & Blue or Blue & Silver, so choose wisely.

But On Saturday, Houston teams had bad luck facing off against Dallas over the weekend. Despite the Dynamo losing to FC Dallas the same day. Just blocks away, O'Brien and the Texans were getting their shoulder pads handed to them. Webb was poor on passing and connecting with the receivers. Poor pass decisions resulted in multiple interceptions and sacks. The biggest blow was the knee injury of veteran running back Lamar Miller in the first half. Miller will miss the 2019 with a torn ACL and now the Texans are left to rely on new comer, Duke Johnson. One begins to wonder if the releasing of D'onta Foreman was premature. But that's another story for another day.

Regardless of this game being a preseason competition, and O'Brien and the Texans being outcoached and outplayed, one has to scratch their head and begin to really analyze the execution and play selection on the field. It's one thing to lose to your state rival, but an absolute embarrassment to get blown out and left with ZERO points on the board. Its the same old song and dance.

As I have said before, if the Texans don't really sit down and make some extreme changes, we will (1), be another one and done Wildcard playoff appearance contender and have another 8-8 season. Pretty soon, the NRG won't be able to give away tickets to the Texan's games. The team will be another reinvention of the Oilers.

Lets just hope the team will have a solid game plan come the first season game.
