The matchup against the nations capital representatives with a chance to tie for the final playoff spot would prove to be a showdown as billed. Paige started the scoring in the 8th min with a strike off the the rebound of a corner kick. It stunned the Dash early. They seemed to loose a little composure and focus on the game plan at that point. It

seemed to carry all the way through the first half. Though the Dash did create a few good shots on goal. They would go into the half down 1 to nil.

After the half it was more aggressive Dash team. Unfortunately, they got caught slipping again in the 54m n off of a strike from Huster that would put their back against the wall.

They would respond immediately with a strike by Latsko off the corner from Daly. That cut the lead in half with a little under 30 min to go in the match. That brought the fire back into the team and the crowd. The Dash would complete the comeback in the 83min as the hometown hero Michaela Abam would split 2 defenders and send a lightning bolt to the back of the net. Would there enough time left for the Dash to secure the win? Unfortunately not tonight. The Dash can hold their heads high proudly for the effort put out in this game. They can also nag about a few suspect calls as well. Shout out to Fields and Spencer who defended their asses off. Until next time.
