Blast from the Past: Sugar Land Space Cowboys Unveil Fauxback Weekend

Calling all baseball fans with a dash of nostalgia! The Sugar Land Space Cowboys, a relatively young team established in the 2010s, are taking a trip through a time warp for a brand new look in 2024.

Get ready for Fauxback Weekend, an alternate reality experience happening on May 10th and 11th. The Space Cowboys will be sporting special jerseys and caps, designed as if the team existed in a bygone era.

Imagine Sugar Land with a team from the past! Their fauxback jerseys boast a stunning tequila sunrise effect, with a cascading blend of the Space Cowboys' signature navy, vice blue, and orange. The lettering is pure retro block, spelling out "Space Cowboys" across the chest.

The iconic four-pointed star, usually residing on the Space Cowboys' main logo, gets a makeover. It pays homage to the classic Astros logo by adopting a similar design, becoming the central element of the fauxback experience. This new star takes center stage on both the jerseys and the vice blue hats, where it appears encircled by a symbolic orbit.

Here's a bonus for early birds! The first 2,000 fans on May 10th will receive a Space Cowboys Fauxback Tumbler featuring the new star logo, courtesy of Constellation. On Saturday, May 11th, the first 2,000 fans can snag a replica Space Cowboys Fauxback jersey, thanks to Houston Methodist.
