Stros completely destroys the RedSox

In a wild game, the Astros destroy the Red Sox. In the first inning, the Astros offense went quietly but crossed the plate twice in the second. Carlos Correa, Kyle Tucker, and Aledmys Diaz singled consecutively to load the bases. The run scored before the tag out to finish the double play on a Taylor Jones sac fly and a Myles Straw double play.

Martin Maldonado led off the third with a single, and Jose Altuve hit a home run about as shallow to left as you can get and still have a home run...anywhere in MLB. The Astros extended their lead in the fifth with a two-run single by Kyle Tucker with two outs.

Astros scored five more runs in the sixth inning, all with two outs. Three of the big blows were Alex Bregman's RBI single, a Correa two-RBI double, and a Tucker two-RBI single. Of the 87 pitches he threw, 61 were strikes, and 16 of the 22 batters he faced were struck by his first pitch. There were fifteen swinging strikes.

The only run scored against Urquidy was on an RBI double by Alex Verdugo as Urquidy began to tire in the sixth. In the eighth inning, Hunter Renfroe homered, giving the Sox their second run of the game against Nivaldo Rodriguez. Rodriguez finished the game without allowing a run in the ninth inning.
