Dynamo Family,
It has been just over two years since I began working to ensure that this club is one that you are proud to call your own.
Several things were clear to me then and have become clearer over time – Houston loves this beautiful game and Houston loves to win.
Many of you have told me that directly, and I've responded with the simple truth that we're committed to improving on and off the pitch. Championships are a part of our past, and our goal is for them to also be part of our future.
The Dynamo have a chance to add a fourth trophy to our collection and we want your help to do that.
We hope that you will join us at Shell Energy Stadium this Wednesday night for the semifinal match of the U.S. Open Cup versus Real Salt Lake. Kickoff is 8:30 PM CT, and all eyes will be on Houston.
For those of you who might not know, the U.S. Open Cup is a long-standing annual knockout tournament for all amateur and professional men's soccer teams affiliated with U.S. Soccer. The Dynamo won the U.S. Open Cup in 2018 and while many of you were with us at that time, many others have come on board since then. Regardless of how long you've been following this team, you are a part of our present.
You can help us replicate the amazing home field advantage that we've seen so far this year at this important match. If both the Dynamo and Inter Miami win their respective semifinals, the Dynamo will travel to Miami on September 27 to face Lionel Messi and his teammates for the U.S. Open Cup.
Each time you come to a match, wear our crest, share our content and tell our story to someone new, you contribute to our success.
Your commitment is unmatched. Your passion never wavers. You show up and bring the heat in the heat. Your energy is contagious, and it makes me proud to be part of this club. We cannot overstate the impact that this electric atmosphere has on our team and our opponents, and I'm excited to experience it in person again this week.
