Pro football returns to San Antonio

Every since the AAF has disbanded, the absence of the Commanders has left a very big void of football in San Antonio. Football runs deep in the Alamo City,  and after a year has returned in the form of indoor football.

Elite Indoor Football will be making it's debut in the Alamo City in 2021 and the Gunslingers is the chosen name for San Antonio's team. If the team name sounds familiar, it's because the Gunslingers was once a team in San Antonio in the 80's in the USFL league.

"We are the San Antonio Gunslingers Professional Arena Football team. We are excited and proud to join the Elite Indoor Football League, bringing back professional football to the great Alamo City."

The Gunslingers will be hosting open tryouts for players who are interested in trying out for the team on August 30th. Players are required to contribute a $100 fee to participate and it must be paid in advance, as well as register for the event.
