Texans sign Tunsil to 3yr/$66mil Extension

The Houston Texans have pony'd up the duckets and signed Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil to a three-year deal. The deal is checked out to $66 million with $56 million guaranteed, reportedly making Tunsil the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL.
The crazy this thing is thatTunsil, 25, negotiated his extension without using an agent.
In his first season with the Texans, Tunsil added some strong assistance to struggling offensive line.  He was named to his first Pro Bowl, becoming the first Texans offensive lineman to make the team since left tackle Duane Brown in 2014. With the new contract extension, this will definitely be a solid protector to Watson's left side while in the pocket.
Now, even though Tunsil is great addition to the O-Line, he also led the league with the most penalties. 17 penalties in 2019, including 14 false starts. If he can keep the false starts under control for 2020-21, the investment by the Texans can be VERY beneficial in the season.
