Houston Dynamo Academy hosts free clinics featuring world-renowned trainer Tom Byer

HOUSTON (Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020)  The Houston Dynamo, in partnership with Tom Byer, announced that the Dynamo Academy and several local Partners in Development will host eight free events for the parents, youth and grassroots coaches from Jan. 24-Feb. 2 in the greater Houston area.

“We are extremely excited for Tom Byer’s visit and to offer the Houston community eight free Soccer Starts at Home Parent Ignition events later this month,” Dynamo Academy Director Paul Holocher said. “It is more than just an interesting presentation, it is a powerful and inspiring message. If we can incorporate these experiences into real action, it will be a true cultural shift in how we look at development in the early childhood years.  We are very thankful for the support of these hosting clubs, who are looking to create cultures of development within their clubs one home at a time.”

All Parents are invited and encouraged to join the world-renowned youth soccer trainer for tips on his Soccer Starts at Home program. The core of the program emphasizes the importance of getting children comfortable with having the ball at their feet as soon as possible, and the vital role that parents play in early childhood development.

Byer has joined clubs around the world to share his philosophy and he brought his program to the Dynamo at the beginning of 2019. Byer has reached hundreds of local families through public events at Houston Sports Park and other facilities in the greater Houston area.

The Dynamo Academy will continue its outreach and secured facilities in The Woodlands, Pearland, Katy, Cypress and the Inner Loop through contacts from their Partners in Development, so that families throughout Houston could attend an event.
