Searching For Balance: Houston Gamblers Still Finding Footing

Thursday Night Primetime in Shell Energy Stadium. It had it all. The highs, the lows. The yays, and the no's. One things for sure, the Gamblers have found the arena built for their game. This is the best setting I have experienced the UFL. The product on the field is still searching for its lane.

The fans are on top of the field it seems. You can feel their energy. The Gamblers needed every bit of their energy to stay in the mix against Louisville. The offense got off to a lack luster start and Louisville would take advantage of every mistake in the first half it seemed. There was no flow to the Gamblers offense. The defense did all it could to keep the Gamblers in the game in the first half.

Would the offense return the favor was the question. After the half the answer seemed to be yes. They started with a gash by Yarns for a TD. Then Taulia would punch it in on a QB keeper to give the Gamblers the lead. Unfortunately, that would be end of the great times that evening.

The offense would stall and the defense would bend, which has been the formula to often this season. The Balance between scheme and execution is missing. Complimentary football as some would call it. The moments and glimpses have presented themselves this season thus far. It's about the Gamblers turning that into consistency and a culture.

The city is thirsting for Spring football. The new venue definitely suites the franchise better. The entertainment level is high value. The football is high quality. We just need the Gamblers to win and motivate!
