Dynamo FC outshoots the Columbus Crew

The Houston Dynamo defeated the Columbus Crew 2-0 on Wednesday night at Shell Energy Stadium. Corey Baird and Ibrahim Aliyu scored for the Dynamo, who have now won four consecutive matches.

Baird opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Griffin Dorsey found him behind the Columbus defense, and he slotted the ball past goalkeeper Patrick Schulte. Aliyu added the second goal in the 90th minute, finishing off a breakaway.

Steve Clark made three saves for the Dynamo, who recorded their 11th clean sheet of the season. The Crew, who entered the match tied for the most goals in MLS, were held scoreless for the second time this season.

The Dynamo are now in fourth place in the Western Conference, while the Crew are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
