Tyrod Taylor to start against Jaguars

As Sunday (September 12th) quickly approaches, the Texans are set to face off with the Jaguars at NRG stadium. For months now, the question has been asked who will start for the team and be at the QB position. Earlier this week, coach Culley announced that Tyrod Taylor will officially start against the Jaguars, as Watson will sit. Deshaun Watson remains on the team’s roster, but will not play.

Coach Culley on Tyrod:

“Not a very vocal guy, but first guy in, last one to leave. I have seen him a little bit more going into 11th year more vocal than he has been. I think those experiences have helped him be in position to lead our football team,” Culley said .

In regards to Deshaun Watson, Nick Caserio told reporters:

“Each day we’re gonna make the decision we think is best, Again, it’s a one-step process. Deshaun’s been here every day. He’s been in training camp every day. He’s been in the building, he’s been in meetings, he’s been around his teammates. We’re gonna take it one day at a time.

“I’m not going to get into a lot of speculation about what has happened, what didn’t happen. It’s a waste of everybody’s time, quite frankly, I think there’s more important things to talk about. We’re gonna take it one day at a time, we’re gonna do what we feel is best for our team and organization. I would say there’s no finite answer, no definitive answer here at this point and that’s how we’re gonna handle it.”

As you know Watson is facing around 20 accusation of sexual assault. Rumors of a trade are still up in the air.
