Clowney out Against Titans

The Texans will not have Jadeveon Clowney for Sunday's game against the Titans sources say. The dominant pass rusher was ruled out because of back and elbow injuries.

Clowney was reported as questionable early Sunday morning but waited to report his absence after the workout. Clowney, who recorded 9.5 sacks and 41 tackles last season, had limited practice all week following Houston's Week 1 loss to the Pats. He struggled big time to make an impact against the New England after missing the off-season program and large portions of training camp. He also missed majority of the preseason because of a knee injury.

Without Clowney, the defense will have to rely more on Watt, which will add more pressure on him with his recent return. Knee injury, and now back and elbow complications, hopefully Clowney wont be out too long and will recover pretty fast.
